Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline related to food contact requirements.
• 8+ years of experience in Product Stewardship or Regulatory Affairs or related role.
• Proven experience interpreting US FDA and MERCOSUR food contact regulations for chemicals, polymers, additives, etc.
• Strong ability to assess migration, regulatory risk, and provide pragmatic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Sr. Product Stewardship SME for food contact regulations with primary focus on US FDA and MERCOSUR.
• Monitor regulatory developments, communicate trends, and advise stakeholders on risk-based options.
• Assess raw materials, additives, formulations, and finished products for compliance.
• Maintain and manage the food contact product portfolio and regulatory assessments.
• Collaborate with toxicologists to evaluate substance status and migration considerations.
• Define testing strategies and partner with labs to support compliance assessments.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, procurement, legal, and technology teams.
