M2 Strategy is seeking a highly qualified Senior FOIA Legal Specialist to support federal government and commercial clients. This fully remote role requires US citizenship and local proximity to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

You will manage FOIA requests, coordinate records collection, apply redactions, and ensure compliant responses while collaborating with government attorneys and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D) degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google Suite).
• Experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic, analytical thinking for diverse solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support FOIA requests and federal records reviews.
• Coordinate records collection and redactions.
• Review FOIA responses for legal sufficiency.
• Provide FOIA guidance to program staff and SMEs.
• Perform QA/QC on large document productions.
• Coordinate with government attorneys and stakeholders on sensitive FOIA matters.
