Job summary

CGS, Contact Government Services, is seeking a Senior FOIA Analyst to support a large federal agency. You will process FOIA requests, draft correspondence, and negotiate with requesters and stakeholders.

Key duties include intake of requests, data entry in FOIA tracking systems, redacting information, and coordinating searches for responsive records while ensuring compliance with exemptions. Strong English communication and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing FOIA requests.
• Knowledge of FOIA rules and exemptions (b(4), b(5), b(6)).
• Ability to redact records containing sensitive information.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and analyze FOIA requests.
• Intake requests and prepare FOIA folders.
• Enter data in the FOIA tracking database.
