Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Fluid Systems Engineer (Senior Member of Technical Staff) to join our Fluid Systems Division in El Segundo, CA. You’ll drive fluid mechanics work across space and launch vehicles, performing analysis, modeling, and testing to support design and mission assurance.

On-site role with domestic travel ~20%, collaborating with government, industry, and academia to provide objective technical insight.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is required.
• 5 years of fluid mechanics experience in research or industry.
• Familiarity with incompressible and compressible flow theory.
• Experience with analytical methods and CFD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis, modeling, and review for fluid systems in space and launch vehicles.
• Assess internal flows in vehicle components; support multi-disciplinary teams.
• Perform day-of-launch activities at on-site facilities and national launch sites.
• Engage with contractors, government personnel, and research labs.
