Job summary
Georgia-Pacific in Prosperity, SC seeks a Fluid Power Technician to own and optimize the fluid power program across the site. You will troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics, install new systems, perform preventive maintenance, and analyze oil samples to guide action.
The role requires after-hours availability and willingness to work any shift as needed. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading and central circuit knowledge, plus experience with air compressors and dryers, and may pursue
Qualifications
- Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic central circuits for troubleshooting.
- Experience with fluid power and pneumatics systems and circuitry.
- Experience with air compressor and dryer systems.
Responsibilities
- Owns the fluid power program for the site and leads related maintenance.
- Analyze oil samples and advise on ISO count failures.
- Perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
- Install new hydraulic/pneumatic equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic issues as the technical expert.
- Assist with design/redesign of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Attend training on fluid power and hose making practices.
- Provide failure analysis on failed equipment.
- Maintain the Hydraulic Hose Room and document system changes.
- Pursue MLT 1 and IHM certifications if needed.
