Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC in the Atlanta metro area is seeking a Catastrophe Risk Modeler to join a team of experts in risk modeling, analytics, research and development. This hybrid role is located in the Duluth, GA area and focuses on flood modeling and catastrophe risk analysis.

You will contribute to the Nat Cat Center of Excellence, develop internal models, validate model performance, and support enterprise risk management with exposure and capital modeling insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; advanced degrees preferred.
• Progressive experience in Catastrophe Modeling (Flood, Earthquake, etc.).
• Strong technical skills in programming (Python or related), GIS, Excel, SQL, AI/ML.

Responsibilities

• Support Nat Cat Center of Excellence by sharing catastrophe modeling expertise and research with Tokio Marine Group Companies.
• Develop internal catastrophe models and support solution development for group initiatives.
• Research and develop benchmarks to evaluate model performance, including hazard, vulnerability and loss components.
• Assist ERM by defining capital modeling assumptions and risk views for under‑modeled regions and perils.
