Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Senior FLOD Risk Manager to lead the First Line of Defense risk program in Wilmington, DE. The role requires directing risk assessment, remediation and control design within the Enterprise Risk Framework.

You will oversee proactive risk identification, KRIs, and reporting to senior leadership, and collaborate with Change initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations. Leadership and coaching are essential to develop the FLOD team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years' relevant work experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a combined 11 years of higher education and/or work experience, including 7 years in risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop reciprocal relationships with IS Business to identify, escalate and remediate risk.
• Plan, execute, and report FLOD activities including processes and internal controls.
• Partner with FLOD Control Testing/Design to maintain IS risks and key controls.
• Oversee reporting to management and risk committees; assist the First Line Risk Officer.
• Support KRIs and comprehensive KRI reporting.
• Ensure timely completion of RCSAs and other recurring risk deliverables.
• Identify emerging risks related to products, markets, and digital assets.
• Represent FLOD in onboarding new business and heightened risk opportunities.
• Develop and manage Findings and Remediation Plans; escalate issues appropriately.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to FLOD staff and manage performance.
