Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Maintenance Coordinator to lead facilities operations across our community, ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents, families and staff. You will oversee building systems, grounds maintenance and regulatory compliance.

You will develop and supervise the maintenance team, manage preventive programs and logs, handle budgeting and vendor relations, and train staff on safety procedures and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management with leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards relevant to senior living facilities.
• Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facilities operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and equipment repair.
• Respond to building emergencies and ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests.
• Maintain life safety systems, fire protection equipment and disaster preparedness protocols.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control and risk management standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Prepare resident rooms for move-ins and oversee grounds and first-impression areas.
• Develop, schedule and supervise maintenance team members.
• Manage departmental budget, vendor relationships and purchasing processes.
• Train team members on safety procedures, emergency response and equipment operations.
