XWING in Santa Cruz is looking for a Performance Lead/DER to provide leadership in air vehicle design and performance analysis. You will interface with aerodynamics, airframe, and flight test teams, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations.

Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science in engineering and have a minimum of 10 years experience in the aerospace industry with expertise in aerodynamic analysis and test management.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of aerospace industry experience in flight performance.
Currently hold an active FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) authorization.
Experience with development and approval of Aircraft Flight Manuals.

Responsibilities

Conduct aerodynamic performance analysis and testing of air vehicles.
Collaborate with engineering teams for design decisions on aircraft performance.
