Job summary

Aery Aviation, LLC is seeking a Flight Sciences Engineer to analyze aircraft flight characteristics, aeroelastic behavior, and certification outcomes for modifications and repairs. You will develop CFD analyses, performance evaluations, and substantiation packages to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

The role involves collaboration with Mechanical, Certification, and Quality teams, with emphasis on delivering rigorous technical reports and supporting flight test planning and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years in aircraft modification, repair, integration, or flight sciences.
• Knowledge of aerodynamics, flight performance, CFD, and analysis methods for flight sciences.
• Experience developing analyses, reports, and substantiation for FAA or military programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses of flight characteristics, aerodynamics, structural loading, and certification for modifications and repairs.
• Develop engineering solutions meeting regulatory and airworthiness requirements.
• Prepare analyses, reports, compliance documents, and supporting data for design and certification.
• Support CFD, flight loads, flutter, stability, and aircraft performance evaluations.
• Create flight test plans, procedures, instrumentation requirements, and data analysis.
• Coordinate with mechanical, certification, production, quality, and management teams.
• Support certification artifacts, testing plans, and regulatory documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations on performance, safety, and compliance.
• Assist in fabrication, installation, ground/flight testing, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain documents under configuration control and adhere to company standards.
• Support continuous improvement of flight sciences processes and methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering Manager.
