Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA seeks a Flight Operations Technical Writer III to develop and publish flight crew publications. You will work with pilots, engineering, certification, and support teams to create accurate manuals and procedures using industry standards.

Expertise with AEM, Oxygen XML Editor, and FrameMaker is preferred. Strong writing, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement are essential for delivering high‑quality content on schedule.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of aircraft system methodology gained through practical experience.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering data; 3‑D data knowledge is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft/hand tools, test equipment, parts nomenclature, maintenance procedures, and aircraft equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical publications from aircraft data to support return to service.
• Review, analyze, and modify documents to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Provide training support on publications software and processes.
• Collaborate with publications team to follow workflows and procedures.
• Engage with internal/external customers to develop source data meeting publication requirements.
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, and Support teams to review and approve procedures.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Contribute to department style guides, standards, and lifecycle management.
