Job summary

Reliable Robotics is building high-integrity, safety-critical systems for automated flight. As a Senior Flight Navigation Engineer, you will contribute to navigation system design, implementation and testing to enable uncrewed aircraft to safely integrate into the National Airspace System.

You will work with the Guidance, Navigation and Control team to develop sensor models, implement state estimation algorithms in flight software, and establish test methods that meet requirements and regulatory

Qualifications

• MS in aerospace, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar advanced degree.
• 8+ years of experience developing and testing navigation algorithms.
• Expertise in Kalman filtering, GNSS navigation or inertial navigation.
• Experience with C/C++ flight software and Python data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define navigation system requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze, source, and select sensor solutions for the navigation system.
• Develop sensor models in simulation for evaluation of the navigation system.
• Implement state estimation algorithms in flight software.
• Establish test methods to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
• Evaluate navigation system performance via simulation, HIL, and flight tests.
