Job summary

University of Oklahoma is seeking a Flight Instructor III to provide high-quality ground and flight instruction in accordance with 14 CFR Part 141 and Part 61. You will mentor junior instructors and maintain training records while ensuring aviation safety and regulatory compliance.

The role covers Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, CFI, and additional aircraft ratings with mandatory FAA training standards and safety culture emphasis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and related aviation experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in aviation or military flight operations with 50 instructor hours and 750 PIC hours.
  • Class II or I FAA medical, CFI, instrument, and airplane ratings required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced ground and flight instruction per FAA requirements.
  • Mentor junior instructors and support curriculum development.
  • Maintain training records and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Coordinate schedules, briefings, and check rides for students.
  • Promote safety culture and accurate pilot training documentation.
