Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Sr. Flight Dynamics Engineer with expertise in orbital mechanics and spaceflight navigation, including LEO satellite orbit determination.

The role involves simulation, analysis of orbital dynamics, and development of flight algorithms, with testing of navigation software for integration into flight systems. You will collaborate with GNC engineers, perform analysis and tests, and contribute to prototype software.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a space-related field or equivalent.
• 7+ years' experience in spacecraft orbital mechanics/operations.
• Advanced knowledge of orbital mechanics and sequential orbit determination.
• Experience with EKF and/or UKF methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform spacecraft maneuver or navigation analysis for multi-disciplinary trades.
• Contribute to prototype software development of flight algorithms.
• Test and assess navigation software for flight system integration.
• Assess Leo on-board GNSS hardware/software performance.
• Collaborate with GNC engineers to manage on-orbit performance.
