Job summary

Sapsol Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Flight Controls Engineer to develop and refine flight control laws for FBW aircraft.

You will work on CLaws, autopilot, and navigation design for R&D projects, driving V&V activities and certification-aligned solutions. The role demands deep knowledge of flight dynamics, aerodynamics, and handling qualities, plus strong MATLAB/Simulink and C++ coding skills, with experience in DO-178B and ARP4754 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering; PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Flight Control Laws for FBW aircraft.
• Strong expertise in flight dynamics, aerodynamics, and handling qualities.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C++ programming.
• Experience with DO-178B, ARP4754, and aerospace software certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve CLaws design and assessment tools using MATLAB and C++.
• Support CLaws, autopilot, and navigation design development for R&D projects.
• Develop CLaws and systems requirements; perform V&V for CLaws updates and designs.
• Verify and deliver CLaws in accordance with DO-178B and ARP 4754.
• Design pilot-in-the-loop CLaws based on handling quality and flight envelope requirements.
• Evaluate CLaws and FBW system failures with analytical methods and simulations.
• Integrate CLAWS into test rigs and supplier hardware.
