Job summary

Sapsol Technologies Inc in the United States seeks an experienced aerospace engineer to lead Flight Control Laws (CLaws) development for FBW aircraft. You will design, implement, and validate CLaws, support autopilot and navigation design, and ensure DO-178B/ARP4754 compliance through V&V.

The role requires 10+ years in CLaws for FBW, deep knowledge of flight dynamics and aerodynamics, MATLAB/Simulink and C++, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• Flight control laws development experience for FBW aircraft
• Strong knowledge of flight dynamics and aerodynamics
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C++ programming
• Experience with classical and modern control systems (SISO/MIMO) and V&V activities
• Knowledge of DO-178B, SAE ARP4754 and aerospace software certification standards
• Fluent in English and French
• Able to work independently and in teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve CLaws designs and assessment tools using MATLAB and C++
• Support CLaws, autopilot, and navigation design development for R&D projects
• Develop CLaws and systems requirements
• Perform CLaws requirements validation and verification (V&V) for CLaws updates and new Claws designs
• Verify and deliver the CLaws in accordance with DO‑178B and SAE ARP4754
• Design and develop pilot-in-the-loop CLaws based on handling quality requirements and flight constraints
• Evaluate CLaws and FBW system failures, stability and performance with analytical methods and simulations
• Assist integration of CLaws into test rigs and supplier hardware
