Job summary

Archer Aviation, based in San Jose, CA, seeks an experienced Flight Control Actuation Systems Engineer to define, design, validate, and verify system-level requirements for our advanced aircraft. You will collaborate across engineering teams to ensure compliance with product and regulatory standards while integrating flight control hardware with software.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with systems engineering and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Author and own flight control and actuation system requirements with interfaces.
• Ensure complete, correct requirements with traceability.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineers for integrated system.
• Define functional breakdown and interfaces with safety teams.
• Participate in architecture definition and trade studies.
• Support supplier teams in developing lower-level requirements.
• Review designs and documentation for correctness and quality.
• Coordinate validation and verification plans at system level.
