Job summary

Trinzic, the spin-off of KBR's Mission Engineering Division, is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist to support PMA-265 and the Airworthiness and CyberSafe Office (ACO) at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Patuxent River, Maryland. The role focuses on flight clearance products for F/A-18 and EA-18G platforms and requires coordination across engineering and customer teams.

On-site position with the U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of experience; in lieu of a degree at least 12 years of related experience is required.
• Experience in flight clearance facilitation and/or DoD Aviation Operator, aircraft test and evaluation and/or aircraft maintenance is desired.
• Experience with T&E of naval aircraft systems and knowledge of NAVAIR/NAWCAD processes and procedures is highly desired.
• Experience with Common Message Processor (CMP) is highly desired.
• Experience with ePower database document tracking software is also highly desired.
• Experience in program management, technical, or business analysis discipline related to weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management as specified in the DOD 5000 series is desired.
• Excellent customer service skills are required for this role.
• Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Candidate must be able to function efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and must be a self-starter.
• Knowledge of the Flight Clearance Process is highly desired.
• Must be a U.S. citizen. An active SECRET clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and execute the management and development of all flight clearance products to include F/A-18 Interim Flight Clearances (IFC), NATOPS and NATIP to support the Fleet, Test Communities, and FMS.
• Develop required content and facilitate Flight Clearance progression through engineering review for airworthiness approval, including active management of flight clearance content and monitoring of status.
• Coordinates weekly inputs for all planned and in-work interim and permanent flight clearances to establish priorities for all F-18 flight clearances, providing customer support and resolution of customer problems to National Airworthiness Team members and their customers.
• Receives, tracks, and processes flight clearance Naval messages and non-message center flight clearances, cancellations, and requests.
