Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an experienced automotive technician to maintain and repair the FedEx vehicle fleet and ground equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, modify systems as needed, and document all work in repair orders and parts requests using FedEx computer systems.

The role requires strong knowledge of hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric and hybrid systems, the ability to read English for safety communications, and the capacity to lead

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the use and operation of equipment and testing tools for hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and/or hybrid motorized equipment.
  • Proficient PC skills.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and respond to official inquiries per FMCSA guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and documentation for FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment.
  • Document work with repair orders and parts requests using FedEx computer systems.
  • Ensure work is in accordance with OSHA and DOT standards.
  • Guide and support a staff of technicians and trainees.
