Job summary

FCC Environmental Services in Leesburg, FL is seeking a Senior Fleet Technician to join our maintenance team. This role ensures heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment operate safely and in compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.

The successful candidate will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and A/C systems, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate records. We value strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty truck A/C systems, Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and repair documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance services, including inspections, tire rotations, fluid checks, and oil changes.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and A/C system issues.
• Utilize diagnostic software and troubleshooting tools to identify equipment failures.
• Perform DOT inspections and ensure vehicles remain compliant with federal and state regulations.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, hoses, cylinders, and associated components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, starters, alternators, batteries, and electronic control systems.
• Complete brake inspections and repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with parts and supply management.
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing repair data and trends.
• Support operational goals by working collaboratively with fleet management and operations teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow all Company, DOT, OSHA, and safety policies and procedures.
• Complete all required daily reporting and documentation.
