Job summary
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Tech IV - Fleet to perform journey-level mechanical work on light, medium, and heavy vehicles and related equipment. You will ensure reliability and safety of the district's diverse fleet, performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years in automotive and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Journeyman level skills through a recognized trade program or related industrial experience.
- Experience with gas, diesel and hybrid vehicles and heavy equipment is required.
Responsibilities
- Advanced diagnostics and repair of complex engine and vehicle systems.
- Maintain automotive electrical, hydraulic, air brake, and ABS systems.
- Perform 90-day fleet inspections for safety and environmental standards.
- Service a wide array of fleet assets, including heavy equipment and construction gear.
- Use MMS to create work orders, track inventory, and document compliance.
- Provide maintenance support during daily operations and shutdowns.
