Job summary

NorthMark Strategies is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Fleet Automation team within the HPC & Infrastructure organization. This role focuses on building automation platforms, APIs, and services to provision and manage hundreds of GPU/CPU compute nodes, ensuring peak efficiency.

You will write production-ready Go, C#, and TypeScript code, work across Linux systems, databases, and CI/CD pipelines, and participate in on-call responses to keep the fleet healthy. Based in Dallas, TX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production backend services or infrastructure automation tooling.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Go, C#, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and working with relational and NoSQL databases supporting stateful automation workflows.
• Solid Linux experience (networking, storage, process management).
• Experience CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Exposure to GPU compute infrastructure and NVIDIA tooling is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain fleet automation services for provisioning and lifecycle management of compute nodes.
• Develop APIs and integrations to enable deployment, imaging, validation, and decommissioning hardware.
• Build backend services in Go, C#, and TypeScript with reliability and testability.
• Model data and state for automation workflows across databases.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and run automated hardware validation tests.
• Instrument systems with metrics, alerts and dashboards for fleet health.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Identify gaps and drive reliability improvements at scale.
