Job summary

Altria Compounds LLC (ACL) in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Technician to manage ingredients and flavor manufacturing. You will handle receiving, staging for evaluation, warehousing, and production, while adhering to cGMP and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities include inventory reconciliations, flavor formula execution from SAP, equipment verifications, and DOT-compliant shipping. The role requires forklift operation, ability to lift 50 lbs, and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the metric system and measurement units.
• 1+ year of experience with flavor manufacturing (pharmaceutical, food or dietary supplements industry).
• Knowledge of sanitary equipment design and good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
• Ability to apply mathematical skills/concepts and conversions.
• Ability to learn SAP R3 and use Word, Excel, Outlook; and control systems (PLCs/HMI).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and perform daily reconciliations of materials used in production.
• Perform physical inventory and ensure LIFO/FIFO compliance; annual chemical inventory checks.
• Follow flavor formulas to compound flavors from SAP data.
• Verify and document calibration of equipment (scales, meters, controllers) per QMS.
• Receive raw materials into SAP, label, and place in warehousing locations.
• Handle shipping per DOT regulations for hazardous and flammable materials.
• Manage hazardous waste in accordance with RCRA; weekly inventory checks.
• Coordinate sampling of ingredients for other facilities and adjust inventory accordingly.
