Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience in finance or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in financial services product delivery domains (Portfolio Management, Trading, etc.).
• Knowledge of fixed-income products, processing and interest rate derivatives is highly desirable.
• Experience with SUMMIT and upgrading its processes is a plus.
• Authoritative experience with Unix, shell scripting, and performance tuning (application and DB).
• Cloud technologies experience (AWS/Azure) and migration to public cloud is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership in backend and frontend design for complex business solutions.
• Collaborate with BAs, QA, and Product owners to translate requirements into sustainable software.
• Contribute to design, development and documentation of vendor products and custom State Street code.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and automation/SQA test reviews for quality outcomes.
• Assist in change management, deployment, and production upgrades at scale.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software using Unix, C#, C++, Java, Python, and related tools.
• Troubleshoot large, mission-critical systems during upgrades and client implementations.
• Support production and test environments across NA and EMEA with SLA adherence.
