Job summary

The Vanguard Group is seeking an experienced securities lawyer to serve as a primary legal advisor to the Fixed Income research, trading, and portfolio management teams across U.S., UK, and Europe. You will work with Compliance, Risk, and Operations to navigate securities law, MNPI handling, and cross-border investments.

You will advise on offerings, indentures, and debt transactions, while keeping abreast of regulatory developments affecting fixed income funds.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant legal experience in securities or financial services.
• J.D. degree and active state bar membership in the U.S.
• Experience with Securities Act of 1933 and Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
• Experience advising on fixed income instruments and markets.

Responsibilities

• Advise Fixed Income trading, research, and portfolio management teams on securities law matters.
• Review and negotiate offering and transaction documents (e.g., indentures, agreements).
• Advise on trading and market structure matters, including best execution and trade reporting obligations.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Operations and outside counsel as needed.
