Job summary

The Hecla Mining Company is seeking a Fixed Maintenance Technician to uphold reliability and efficiency of fixed equipment in our industrial facilities. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute repairs on pumps, motors, conveyors, and other stationary machinery while maintaining thorough maintenance records.

Collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams is essential to develop schedules, improve equipment reliability, and ensure safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in various facility environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fixed mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety regulations.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques, then execute timely repairs or coordinate with specialized teams as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status to support asset management and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations personnel to develop maintenance schedules, improve equipment reliability, and implement process improvements.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
