Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Senior Accountant in Corporate Accounting focusing on Fixed Assets and M&A integration to ensure accurate IFRS reporting and asset lifecycle management across the global business.

You will partner with Operations, Facilities, IT and Finance to validate asset data, support Day‑1 readiness, assist data migration into SAP, and maintain the control environment, while driving process improvements and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progress toward CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience with Fixed Assets/CIP exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal controls.
• Experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and subledger management.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Operations, Facilities, IT, Finance).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), especially Fixed Assets and Project Systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for Fixed Assets, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure all Fixed Assets transactions comply with IFRS, GF policies, and SOX requirements.
• Maintain fixed assets master data, depreciation methods, useful lives, and asset classifications.
• Support CIP accounting, including project tracking, capitalization timing, and coordination with Operations and Facilities.
• Assist with impairments, disposals, and complex capital projects.
• Prepare audit support and respond to auditor inquiries; maintain documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with IT and Operations Finance to resolve SAP issues and improve data quality.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting accuracy.
