Job summary

Wendy's in Dublin, OH is seeking an experienced project accounting professional to record complex transactions in the G/L and project subledger, ensure accurate roll-forward of balances, and explain fluctuations between periods.

You will support Finance, Engineering, Maintenance and IT, handle CIP and impairment accounting, assist month-end close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and participate in quarterly reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years accounting transaction experience with a medium to large integrated software system.
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Robust Excel capabilities.
• Strong organization and written communication skills.
• Public Accounting experience is preferred.
• CPA or MBA is preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and review capitalization projects in the project accounting subledger including project subledger close and project and task setup for assigned projects.
• Record all impairment activity in the fixed asset subledger and maintain CIP impairment.
• Support business partner's reporting needs and capitalization inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing of the general ledger, prepare monthly journal entries and evaluate account balances including preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review reporting of periodic activity in all CIP accounts for completeness and accuracy and perform reconciliations.
• Perform routine fluctuation analysis and Ad-Hoc analysis as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting schedules.
