Arcosa Traffic Structures is currently hiring for Fitter/Welders for the plant operation in Sumterville, FL. The position involves welding pieces, completing final and multi-pass welds, and inspecting work for conformance to specifications.

Arcosa Traffic Structures specializes in manufacturing structural steel products for the DOT market, including overhead steel and aluminum sign structures, tolling gantry structures, and other steel fabrications. We provide engineer-designed structures and state DOT-specified structures tailored to project requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Maintain and complete all required records
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
