Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as metal fitter/fabricator is required.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and fitting techniques.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans.
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble structural and miscellaneous metal components.
• Layout and prepare materials for fabrication.
• Tack and weld components as required.
• Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools.
• Ensure fabricated pieces are properly aligned, squared, and dimensioned.
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality.
• Work with other members of the fabrication team to meet production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety and quality standards.
