Job summary

The Yakama Nation in Peshastin is seeking a Fish Culturist III to support hatchery operations and assist the Hatchery Manager and Foreman in achieving goals. You will help supervise subordinates, monitor water flows, tank preparations, and feed schedules to ensure healthy fish development.

Two full-time positions with an hourly wage of $18.23–$20.52. The role involves regular duties at the hatchery and requires coordination with the Fisheries Resource Management team.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Hatchery Manager and/or Hatchery Foreman in operation and maintenance of fish hatcheries.
• Direct and monitor the work of subordinates and staff involved in all phases of the hatchery operation to achieve management goals.
• Assist with trapping and selecting adult salmon for spawning, egg collection, spawning processes, and preparing tanks and ponds for fry or fingerling receipt.
