Job summary

Orionplacement in Los Angeles seeks an experienced trial attorney to lead first-chair litigation on a consumer-focused docket. The role demands strong courtroom advocacy, strategic trial planning, and collaboration with experienced litigators in an on-site Century City office.

Candidates must hold an active California Bar license with at least eight years of litigation and a proven record of jury verdicts, bench verdicts, and complex motions.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license and in good standing.
• 8+ years of litigation and trial experience.
• Significant first-chair trial experience with a record of multiple jury verdicts.
• Representative bench and/or jury trials through verdict.

Responsibilities

• Develop trial strategy collaboratively and assume first-chair responsibility for trial efforts.
• Conduct and oversee complex legal research involving novel and sophisticated issues.
• Work directly with specialized outside counsel on behalf of the firm and its clients.
• Draft moving papers, oppositions, and other substantive filings involving complex legal issues.
• Appear at hearings involving motions and oppositions.
• Conduct depositions of PMK witnesses, apex employees, mechanical experts, fraud experts, and other key witnesses.
• Help develop and improve firm policies and procedures, including client communication practices.
• Identify and resolve issues efficiently and proactively.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strong, professional guidance throughout litigation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance cases and strengthen litigation strategy.
