Job summary

Denken Solutions, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Firmware Validation Engineer to join our Firmware - Connectivity and Audio team in Foster City, CA. The role focuses on manual feature testing, expanding test content, and closing coverage gaps across in-cabin connected experiences.

You will own day-to-day test execution, reproduce defects, analyze logs (Wireshark, DLT, ADB, Bluetooth traces), and drive issues to closure in collaboration with firmware, product, and diagnostics teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field with 8+ years in validation/QA of firmware/embedded products.
• Proven ability to write/exectute test plans and close coverage gaps.
• Connectivity domain experience (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, LTE/5G, GNSS, or vehicle networking).
• Strong log triage and debugging using Wireshark, DLT, ADB, and related tools.
• Experience managing defects end-to-end in JIRA/Confluence within agile releases.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing for Audio and streaming features.
• Author new test cases and maintain test content as features evolve.
• Identify and close coverage gaps; track coverage health per feature track.
• Reproduce defects, collect logs, and isolate root cause before handing off.
• Triage field issues, reproduce in lab and drive to closure with teams.
• Manage defects end-to-end in JIRA with clear steps and regression follow-up.
• Maintain test benches and in-vehicle rigs to stay release-ready.
• Collaborate with firmware leads, product managers, and integration partners.
