Job summary
1ST-RECRUIT LLC, an E-Verified company, seeks an experienced Validation/QA Engineer for firmware/embedded products in Foster City, CA.
You will lead validation efforts, write and execute test plans, analyze coverage, and manage defects through the full lifecycle. A connectivity background and Linux environment are required.
Strong debugging with Wireshark, DLT, ADB; field triage; Python scripting; and experience with JIRA/Confluence in agile releases are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years in a hands-on validation/QA role for firmware/embedded products.
- Proven experience writing and executing test plans and cases, closing coverage gaps, and managing defects through full lifecycle.
- Hands-on validation in at least one connectivity domain (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, LTE/5G, GNSS, or vehicle networking).
- Strong log triage and debugging instincts; comfortable with Wireshark, DLT, ADB, and related tooling.
- Track record of reproducing and isolating defects reported from production/field environments.
- Python scripting to automate repetitive checks and parse logs; comfortable on Linux.
