Job summary
Blue Origin LLC in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an experienced firmware engineer to develop low-level code for DBF ASICs in the TeraWave system. You will collaborate with hardware and communications teams to implement ROM and runtime firmware for beamforming and telemetry, and drive firmware interfaces from silicon to system level.
The role requires 10+ years in firmware development, strong C and embedded programming skills, and familiarity with RTOS like FreeRTOS/Zephyr.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
- 10+ years of firmware development experience.
- Experience with embedded firmware and hardware interfaces.
- Experience debugging embedded firmware and hardware/software interactions.
Responsibilities
- Develop ROM code and runtime firmware for Digital Beamforming (DBF) ASICs.
- Develop firmware for beam pointing, calibration, SerDes, secure boot, telemetry and sideband control of DBF ASICs.
- Support pre-silicon firmware development, integration, and validation.
- Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and validation of custom DBF ASICs.
