Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
• 7+ years embedded software/firmware experience
• Proficient in C/C++ with production firmware development
• Embedded Linux design and Yocto Project experience
• Experience with hardware/software integration and drivers
• Experience with CI/CD and source control in embedded projects
• Ability to mentor engineers and promote best practices
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Firmware development for XM4, Blackbird, and BigBuddy initiatives
• Collaborate with PES, mobile, QA, and cloud teams for integration
• Mentor teammates and support onboarding of new engineers
• Drive CI/CD improvements and firmware standardization
• Design APIs, backend services, and automation tasks with team guidance
• Ensure scalable, secure, cloud-ready applications and components
• Architect microservices or APIs to support business goals
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements
• Drive code health, testing, and maintainability
• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot complex issues
