Qualifications

• Mastery of embedded C on shipped products across MCU/RTOS and embedded Linux
• Built platform code (libraries/SDKs/protocols) used by multiple teams and kept stable
• Hands‑on ownership of an embedded build system (e.g. Bazel) with multi-target cross‑compilation
• Track record of owning problems spanning team or subsystem boundaries to shipped resolution
• Strong design judgment for resource-constrained compute, memory, and bandwidth
• Debugging mastery with history of solving hard bugs and shipping code
• Hands‑on: you still ship code and influence comes from your work

Responsibilities

• Own the common runtime and libraries used by firmware teams on MCU and Linux targets
• Own the build system and cross-compile toolchain for fast, reproducible builds
• Design and maintain stable interfaces exposed by the platform for other teams
• Solve hard, ambiguous platform-versus-consumer problems as they surface
• Drive resource trade-offs when subsystems compete for compute, memory, or bandwidth
• Mentor teammates and raise firmware engineering standards through reviews and patterns
