Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer for a Contract position with a client located in Phoenix, AZ.

Pay Range : $60-75 / hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Description

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science / Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
2. 7+ years of experience in embedded software engineering to develop display applications and logic. Proficiency in SCADE modeling tool for graphics and C / C++ for logic is required.
3. Experience with DO-178C, A661 is helpful.
4. Minimum 6+ years of experience. Responsibilities include performing integration & testing on target hardware.
5. Understanding of various software development life cycles, methodologies, and tools is valued.
6. Proficiency in programming languages such as C / C++, Python, OpenGL, etc.
7. Experience in embedded software development for aerospace, avionics, display technologies, or related industries.
8. Experience with avionics products such as displays & graphics, flight management, flight planning, flight controls, PFDs, TCAS, CAS, terrain, radios, etc., is valuable.
9. Experience operating within an Agile framework is preferred.
