The role requires expertise with firearms and related equipment, development of scenario-based training, and oversight of the armed officer program, including records, equipment, and weapons maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Delivers a multi-modality training framework for Public Safety Officers and security staff, including new employee and refresher training.
• Uses advanced firearms and weapons knowledge to design and implement use-of-force training programs.
• Oversees armed public safety officer program including training development, records management, equipment procurement, and weapons maintenance.
• Develops simulated scenario-based training across in-person, virtual, and computer-based platforms, including Taser/AXON VR and firearms simulators.
• Works with training teams and stakeholders to improve program effectiveness and ensure compliance with regulations.
