Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Training Instructor to deliver an integrated, multi-modality training framework for Public Safety Officers and security staff. The role includes developing curricula, new employee and refresher training, and policies to safeguard people, property, and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• 2 years training experience in private sector security, public safety, law enforcement, or military.
• Experience designing content/curriculum for adult learners.
• Ability to work flexible scheduling including off-shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and refine an integrated multi-modality training framework for Public Safety Officers and staff.
• Use advanced weapons knowledge to assist program development for duty readiness.
• Design and implement training across in-person, virtual, and computer-based platforms.
• Create training materials (manuals, job aids, checklists, etc.) to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Deliver content across regions using manuals, simulators, and e-learning tools.
• Collaborate with training team to develop curriculum readiness and program integration.
• Lead major training events such as active-shooter drills and emergency responses.
• Gather feedback via focus groups and SMEs to improve training effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state security regulations and industry best practices.
