Job summary

ATF seeks a Supervisory Firearms Specialist (GS-14) to lead the Firearms and Ammunition Technology Division's Field Response efforts. The role involves directing complex firearms operations, providing expert legal and technical support to federal, state, and local partners, and delivering comprehensive training to diverse enforcement personnel.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in firearms and criminal enforcement operations.
• Ability to coordinate collaborative operations and provide technical support to law enforcement at multiple levels.
• Experience directing and supervising a team and evaluating performance.
• Providing training and guidance on firearms investigations including evidence handling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate firearms-related programs and operations.
• Provide expert-level guidance on firearms laws to management and field offices.
• Supervise Branch personnel and assign/review work.
• Design and deliver advanced training and curricula for cross-jurisdictional professionals.
• Advise Division leadership on policy matters and operational challenges.
