Desert Fire Team in Las Vegas seeks a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager/Sr Designer to lead design and construction efforts on large casino and sports facility projects. The role oversees design coordination and field construction, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery while meeting applicable codes and permits.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
• Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. In conjunction with contractor, ensure all design activities are completed accurately and on time in accordance with master schedule.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards for project. In conjunction with Project Manager and/or Superintendent monitor/control construction to ensure project is designed and built on schedule and within budget.
• Function as the prime client contact coordinating the resolution of problems, reviewing progress, recommending alternatives, and advising on project objectives as dictated by corporate management.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Review construction contract documents and coordinate with subcontractors and General contractor/owner to gather the required information to design the project’s sprinkler system.
• Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoSprink program.
• Maintain design historical records and historical records for all functions for future use.
• Identify changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements.
• Ensure work complies with codes and permits.
• Perform Hydraulic calculations.
• Ensure proper staffing is in place on each project.
