Job summary

James Lane Mechanical is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Sprinkler Leader to own the division and serve as Texas RME‑G. You will drive design, planning, and installation across projects, aligning NFPA standards with state requirements and customer needs.

You will mentor crews, manage field execution from kickoff to closeout, and coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and clients to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RME‑G license in good standing or Texas PE with statutes exam
• NICET Level III or IV certification in Water‑Based Systems Layout
• At least 6 years of experience in fire protection sprinkler design/installation
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20 and related codes
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and coordinate with other trades

Responsibilities

• Hold the license of record as Texas RME‑G for all company fire protection operations
• Lead sprinkler projects end to end from kickoff to closeout
• Drive planning: sequence field work, plan procurement and crew loading
• Own design and plan review to NFPA 13/14/20 and AHJ requirements
• Provide direction and mentorship to crews, raising technical standards
• Represent the company and coordinate with clients, general contractors, inspectors
