Job summary
A leading fire protection firm in Texas is seeking a knowledgeable Fire Sprinkler Designer. This role involves designing fire protection systems and conducting hydraulic calculations for various projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in fire protection design, possess NICET certification and/or a Texas RME-G license, and be proficient in AutoSPRINK and Navisworks. Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in fire protection system design.
BIM experience, specifically with Navisworks, necessary.
Proficiency in AutoSPRINK is preferred.
Familiarity with updated NFPA 13, 14, 20, 22 standards required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail essential.
Responsibilities
Design fire protection systems using architectural dimensions.
Perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems.
Identify coordination issues and communicate effectively.
Create fabrication stock listings and review design drawings.
Conduct site surveys and jobsite visits as needed.
Collaborate with field foremen and update designs.
