Job summary

A leading fire protection firm in Texas is seeking a knowledgeable Fire Sprinkler Designer. This role involves designing fire protection systems and conducting hydraulic calculations for various projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in fire protection design, possess NICET certification and/or a Texas RME-G license, and be proficient in AutoSPRINK and Navisworks. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in fire protection system design.
• NICET Certification and/or Texas RME-G license required.
• BIM experience, specifically with Navisworks, necessary.
• Proficiency in AutoSPRINK is preferred.
• Familiarity with updated NFPA 13, 14, 20, 22 standards required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems using architectural dimensions.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems.
• Identify coordination issues and communicate effectively.
• Create fabrication stock listings and review design drawings.
• Conduct site surveys and jobsite visits as needed.
• Collaborate with field foremen and update designs.
