Job summary

Dalmatian Fire is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer who will design Fire Protection Systems for diverse projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

Essential duties include reading contract documents, coordinating with trades, BIM modeling, and presenting to groups. NICET certification and fire protection design experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Hydratec experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Sprinkler systems.
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents and drawings.
• Write, plan, coordinate, and present design concepts.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK.
• BIM modeling and field surveying responsibilities.
• Coordinate fabrication lists and inter-trade communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
