Job summary

Dalmatian Fire is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design fire protection systems for varied projects. You will create layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD, run hydraulic calculations, and generate pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

You will also handle BIM modeling and field surveying, coordinate with trades, and ensure accurate fabrication lists. A technical degree and NICET certification are preferred, with on-site work and potential for weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCAD, Revit and/or HydraCAD experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Design and lay out Fire Sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Write, plan, coordinate, and present to individuals and groups.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analyses.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Produce sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK.
• Model BIM and perform field surveying.
• Prepare fabrication lists and coordinate between trades.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
