Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Eng or Mechanical Eng is required.
• 8+ years of experience in fire protection design and operations.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and life safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret fire protection drawings and specs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Bluebeam.
• Analytical, decisive, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in semiconductor facility design, construction, and startup.
• PE license or NICET Fire Protection certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fire protection design consultants to ensure system requirements are met.
• Review fire protection drawings, submittals, and monitor construction progress.
• Support commissioning activities, including functional testing and validation.
• Identify and resolve abnormalities during construction and start-up phases.
• Manage documentation, manuals, and handover for fire protection systems.
• Provide operating and maintenance support for fire suppression systems and alarms.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local fire regulations.
• Perform system capacity planning, troubleshooting, and sustaining activities.
• Partner with operations to optimize system performance.
• Conduct system evaluations and implement improvements through projects.
• Maintain documentation for operational procedures.
• Support fire safety audits, inspections, and emergency drills.
• Provide on-call support in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
