Job summary

Jensen Hughes seeks a Lead/Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our team across our Austin, Allen, Houston, and Denver offices. The role involves providing fire protection consulting on client sites and leading a team of engineers and specialty consultants in collaboration with building owners, developers, architects and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of fire protection experience, a Texas PE is preferred, and strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Local to Austin/Allen/Houston or Denver or willing to relocate.
• Willingness to travel to Texas/Colorado sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire protection consulting on client sites and lead project teams.
• Perform life safety code consulting, fire protection design and alarm systems reviews.
• Develop plans, specifications and inspection reports ensuring professional standards.
• Coordinate with owners, developers, architects, engineers and contractors.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and client interactions; support BD activities.
