Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support defense and intelligence community facilities in Virginia and nationwide. You will design and review fire protection systems, perform life safety analyses, and ensure compliance with NFPA, UFC, and agency requirements in secure environments.

Active Top Secret SCI with CI Poly clearance is required, and you will collaborate with project teams and leadership to deliver high-reliability protection

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or closely related field.
PE license required or eligible for reciprocal license in the relevant state.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a fire protection engineer in government or secure facilities.

Responsibilities

Design, review, and evaluate fire protection and life safety systems.
Perform fire hazard analyses and code compliance reviews for facilities.
Provide guidance to project teams and facility leadership on fire protection.
Review drawings, perform inspections, and support emergency planning and continuity initiatives.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction.
