Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Downtown Los Angeles office. You will support the design and delivery of fire protection projects, collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction.

This role focuses on project delivery, technical analysis and design, and client coordination, offering growth opportunities within an established fire protection group and across Coffman offices.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional experience in fire protection engineering.
• FE/EIT or PE preferred.
• Experience with building code analysis and fire protection design.
• California code experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide fire/life safety consulting for building types.
• Perform building and fire code analysis and egress analysis.
• Design automatic fire suppression, detection, alarm, and mass notification systems.
• Prepare calculations, reports, studies, and construction documents.
• Support smoke control system design, testing, and inspections.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, and budgets.
• Interact with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and stakeholders.
